Guidelines on writing a review.
When making a review, please follow these guidelines:
- Genuine Experiences: Reviews must be based on your personal experience with the assessment.
- Relevant Content: Reviews should be relevant to the product.
- Respectful Language: Reviews must be respectful and free from offensive, abusive, or discriminatory language.
- No Promotional Content: Reviews should not contain promotional content, advertisements, or links to other websites.
- No Personal Information: Do not include personal information (e.g. address, phone number, School name, or any other personal identifiable information) in your reviews.
- Criticism: Constructive criticism of the relevant assessment is welcome.
- Provincial ATPs: Reviews based on provincial ATP’s will be removed. Teacher911 assessments are based on National Department of Education requirements.
What we do not allow
We take all reasonable and proportionate steps to prevent, correct or remove any review information that could mislead customers. A review may be removed if they contain any of the following:
- Misleading presentation of reviews or ratings: All genuine reviews, whether positive or negative, will be visible and factored into overall ratings. Teacher911 believes in transparency and does not permit deletion of genuine, factual reviews, regardless of star rating.
- Staff reviews: We do not allow reviews written by staff or anyone with a conflict of interest posing as a customer. Staff may reply to reviews but will not make their own reviews.
- No retaliation: If a customer leaves a negative review, Teacher911 will not harass or pressure the customer to change or remove it outside the proper channels. Teacher911 will respond to reviews publicly (professionally addressing the feedback) or, if the review is suspected fake, use our moderation process.
Moderation and removal of reviews
All reviews are moderated to ensure that they comply with our policies. If a review does not follow our policy, the review will be removed. The reviewer may be notified with the reason for removal or banned from future submissions if repeated reviews that violate our policies are made.
The following are the criteria we use to determine if a review will be removed:
- Fake reviews: All reviews must be based on an actual customer’s genuine experience with the product or service reviewed.
- Misleading information: The review cannot contain factual untruths or inaccuracies. Please note that only facts will be checked.
- No cooperation: If a review is considered incorrect and does not provide credible evidence, we may contact the customer who placed the review for investigative purposes. If said customer does not cooperate in this investigation, the review may be removed.
- Reaction to other reviews: If the review is only a reaction to a previous review, it will be removed.
- Personal information: If the review contains personal information of a third party or information that leads to a third party.
- Competitors: If the review contains referrals to competitors or links to other websites, the review will be removed.
- Inappropriate content: Reviews containing inappropriate content, profanity, discriminatory language, or disrespectful messages will be removed.
- Incoherency: Reviews where the message is not clearly understandable or readable. The reviewer may be contacted to provide a more easily understood review. If no response is received, the review will be removed.
If a review is simply negative but appears genuine, we will not remove it just because Teacher911 dislikes it. Conversely, if a review is positive but clearly fake, it will be removed. Our focus is authenticity over sentiment.
We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines
In instances where reviews do not follow our guidelines, we may take any or all of the following steps:
- Removing reviews.
- Correcting any statistical figures related to our reviews, e.g., any star rating.
- Suspending or banning customer accounts from making reviews.
- Issuing warning notifications.
We have a dedicated moderation team that investigates flagged reviews and any reports of fake content. We strive for an impartial investigation in each case, as our only goal is to ensure the review reflects a real experience. During the investigation, a review may be temporarily hidden to prevent potential misinformation from affecting consumers.
